Following BioInnovate, Kevin worked in the in-house legal department of a publicly quoted in-vitro diagnostics company before working in a commercial law firm servicing life science companies. In 2018, he established DeNovo Legal, a bespoke practice for the life science sector (http://www.denovolawfirm.com). Kevin now provides legal advice to over 40 life science companies.
“Understanding the science, technology and commercialisation pathway for a product is a key part of negotiating and drafting commercial agreements. Put simply, the fellowship has enabled me to realise my ambition of creating a niche life science service in my area of interest. As a result of the fellowship I gained first-hand experience of the I.P., compliance, ethical, regulatory and funding challenges which face medical device companies. Now acting for a broad spectrum of researchers, manufacturers, distributors and third-party service providers, I continue to draw on those experiences to predict and navigate legal risks for my clients”.
