Anmol is a graduate certificate of business holder from Monash University, Australia and a biomedical engineer from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Originally from India, he has lived and worked in 3 thriving global MedTech ecosystems and is now excited to get involved and contribute to the Ireland ecosystem through the BioInnovate program. Anmol has been involved in various stages of the medtech development journey right from research in the lab to working in the regulatory department at a global med-device company. He has worked with research labs in the area of epilepsy and oncology at the University of Minnesota before moving into early stage medical device R&D projects at the Earl E. Bakken Medical Device Center. Closely working with clinicians, he has done projects in the areas of urology, pain management, and ophthalmology. Anmol also worked on a mission-critical project to develop a complicated process for calibrating a cardiovascular product at Zurich Medical. In Minneapolis, he was also a core team member of Healthcare.mn which is a vibrant community of over 1900 healthcare entrepreneurs and supporters and is backed by the Medical Alley. In Australia, he was involved in a few consulting projects with local startups and was involved in R&D government grant writing for various startups. Moving on from working on projects and consulting with startups, Anmol next got involved in one of India’s leading incubator driving programs and initiatives promoting high-tech entrepreneurship. One of the flagship projects he worked on was developing a 9 month program to train and guide early stage entrepreneurs and other incubation managers. The course was a blended learning curriculum including workshops and lectures delivered by faculty from Stanford, MIT, BU, Cambridge and more along with 1-1 mentoring for the startups. Anmol is also a certified scuba diver and an avid table tennis player. He enjoys trekking and cycling in his free time.
