Most recently, Stephen worked for Genomics Medicine Ireland - a population Genomics Company set up in Ireland to leverage the homogeneity of the Irish population to investigate the genomic basis of certain diseases. There he led the Business Intelligence activities at the company where his role involved the design and development of data capture and analytics platforms to help drive business performance and decision making. Prior to that, he worked in the Clinical Partnerships team at GMI, developing the studies and managing relationships with KOLs and study sites. Before his time at GMI, he worked as a Clinical Project Manager for Cosmo Pharmaceuticals NV - a mid-sized Italian Pharma company specialising in gastro therapies. He managed their pharmaceutical and medical device trials taking place in both the EU and North America. He has also worked in the Clinical Trials Unit at the Mater Public and Private Hospitals in Dublin, serving as a Clinical Data Manager for the Oncology and Haematology trials being run at both sites. He holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Maynooth University, an MSc in Translational Oncology from Trinity College Dublin and he is currently completing a GradDip in Business Analytics from the London School of Economics/University of London.
