Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from University College Cork. She completed the National Pharmacy Internship Programme and graduated with a master’s degree in pharmacy from Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. Beginning her career as a community pharmacist in 2013, she has worked in a broad range of pharmacies in Dublin and throughout the Munster area. From her varied work as a support and supervising pharmacist, she has acquired extensive clinical experience with a strong managerial and commercial background. After returning from a year-long career break to New Zealand in 2018, Jessica transitioned into the Medical Device Industry, working for Medtronic within the Product Experience Management Group. She was responsible for complaint handling activities and associated US MDR/Vigilance Regulatory reporting for the Bradycardia product portfolio. Her industry role has given Jessica the opportunity to participate in process improvement projects, instilling a passion for collaborative innovation. She is hopeful that the BioInnovate programme will provide an opportunity for her to leverage her clinical and industry experience, in order to create healthcare solutions for patients and healthcare professionals alike. Jessica likes to spend her down time on the west coast, and enjoys yoga, hiking and swimming.
