Liam is a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for problem solving and is an experienced leader in the Medical Devices field having spent the last 20 years leading teams and projects in product development and manufacturing. Liam has worked in both R&D and Manufacturing leadership positions in the fields of Peripheral Vascular and Neurovascular minimally invasive device solutions while working for Stryker and CR Bard both in Ireland and in Germany. Having worked through the full cycle of product development from concept to commercialisation on both class II & III devices as an R&D engineer, program manager and site head for R&D, he has seen a broad range of challenges and lessons learned that can be experienced in realising a new medical device solution. Complementing that product development experience, Liam has also held senior positions at site leadership level with Stryker for manufacturing of Neurovascular devices to meet the challenges of serving customers in a rapidly growing and dynamic space. Liam graduated from Cork Institute of Technology back in 2000 with a BSc in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and more recently completed Post grad Diploma studies in Innovation Management from University of Limerick in 2019. Liam joined BioInnovate to bring his years of experience and passion for problem solving to bear in identifying true clinical need’s and real value add solution’s to meet them. Away from work, Liam focusses his time on family and enjoying a round of Golf at home in Cork.
