Sinéad was most recently a Chief II Pharmacist in St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Dublin. She started her career as a clinical pharmacist having graduated from King’s College, University of London. She later completed her MSc in clinical pharmacy from Queens University Belfast. She has worked in both the hospital and community pharmacy setting in the UK, Australia and Ireland, gaining valuable insights into the needs of patients and finding ways to improve practices. Sinéad has continuously participated in audits and has presented her findings at national and international conferences. She won an award for innovation in patient safety where medication errors on admission to and discharge from hospital were reduced by 60%. She has been shortlisted many times for her audit work in patient safety. She recently completed a diploma in strategy and Innovation with first class honors from the Irish Management Institute (UCC). She is looking forward to combining her clinical experience and audit knowledge with her ambitious multidisciplinary team to solve problems and improve outcomes for patients. She is looking forward to engaging head, heart and hands in finding a patient focused need and problem solving to address it. In her spare time Sinéad enjoy tennis, running and yoga.
