Kevin has over 10 years’ experience working as a physiotherapist, both in the acute and private healthcare sectors in Ireland & New Zealand. Kevin graduated with first class honours in physiotherapy from the University of Limerick in 2007. He has worked in a wide variety of clinical areas during his career to date including respiratory, musculoskeletal, oncology, orthopaedics, plastics and critical care. Within his most recent role as Senior physiotherapist in Critical Care in University Hospital Galway, Kevin has been instrumental in the introduction and innovative use of new technology within the area of critical care to improve patient outcomes. He is passionate about the enormous potential of technology to assist in solving clinical problems. More recently Kevin has completed a new course in eHealth & Informatics from Dublin City University. He is a member of the Council of Clinical Information Officers in Ireland which is an advisory board that helps to drive and implement eHealth solutions across the Irish healthcare system. Kevin is looking forward to using his strong clinical background as well as his keen interest in technology to develop unmet clinical needs into real-world solutions. He believes that BioInnovate offers a unique opportunity to combine his expertise to improve healthcare outcomes. In his spare time Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hurling, travelling and all things technology related.
