Miriam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick in 2009 and joined a financial software consultancy firm where she was placed on assignments in New York and London. After holding roles as a Software Developer and System Analyst, Miriam decided to pursue a new career path and returned to NUIG to obtain a master’s degree in Biomedical Science. Since then, she has been working in the medical device field focussing on the design and development of software controlled, integrated medical devices. Having been exposed to all stages of the medical device lifecycle, she has developed strong skills in research and development, systems engineering, project management and design for manufacture. Given her unique viewpoint, Miriam is keen to develop new, innovative solutions in the healthcare and medical device industry. In her free time, Miriam enjoys reading, running, travelling and socialising.
