Venari Medical was established by 2016/2017 BioInnovate fellows Stephen Cox, Dr Nigel Phelan and Sean Cummins to create a novel medical device for the office-based treatment of varicose veins and venous ulcers, known as superficial venous disease, a condition that affects one in three people worldwide. The company received a substantial Commercialisation Fund grant from Enterprise Ireland in 2017 and is currently fundraising towards Series A investment to bring their innovation closer to commercialisation.
