Eoin Bambury, in conjunction with 2013/2014 BioInnovate team mate, Moshe Zilversmit, cofounded Signum Surgical, a start-up whose key focus is developing novel minimally invasive technologies to treat colorectal diseases. The company has raised over €3 million to date with initial seed funding from the Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund followed by €2.6million Series A funding from a myriad of investment parties including Chip Hance (former CEO of Creganna), Medtech Syndicate Nominee, Switzerland based Glanzmann Enterprises, Rising Tide Europe 1, the Western Development Commission and Enterprise Ireland. The company is currently on course for commercialisation of the novel medical device in the coming years.
