Ena Brophy

Ena Brophy is the Programme Manager of BioInnovate Ireland, a medical device innovation training programme which focuses on the development of medical device solutions to address unmet clinical needs. With a background in project management, Ena has extensive experience managing a range of interdisciplinary projects within academia and industry, providing insight-led solutions to meet strategic challenges across EU markets. Prior to BioInnovate Ireland, Ena worked with FIZ Karlsruhe in Germany where she developed and managed product innovation activities including the European market introduction of RADAR, a research data management tool. Ena has studied Information Technology and holds a Masters in Adult Learning and Development from NUI Galway. She is also a certified Lego Serious Play Methodology Facilitator with the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. Ena has completed the Leadership Foundation Aurora Programme which is a unique partnership initiative bringing together leadership experts and higher education institutions to take positive action to address the under-representation of women in leadership positions in the sector. Over the last number of years, Ena has made very significant and impactful contributions to the promotion of female innovators through two key initiatives, InnovateHER and the Ideas Academy. These events have brought together a number of female innovators to showcase and celebrate their innovation impact.
