Lee-Ann achieved her honours bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2017 and completed an honours Level 9 Professional Diploma in Six Sigma with the University of Limerick in 2022.She began her career on the Boston Scientific graduate programme and has since gained experience in its high paced manufacturing engineering environment. Lee-Ann has been involved in numerous new product introductions and major capacity expansion projects in high volume stent delivery catheter manufacturing. Throughout her tenure, she has driven a needs-based approach to introducing customer focused products and processes into the manufacturing floor. Lee-Ann is also PMBOK PMI certified with years of project management experience. Lee-Ann has experience in the development, qualification, and introduction of new equipment using the needs of the various stakeholders as the foundation for design. She has been involved in multiple FDA regulatory submissions as the technical lead. Lee-Ann has held numerous leadership roles from project manager and technical lead to extracurricular volunteer leadership roles. She is seasoned in process validation and test method validation. Lee-Ann has experience in tissue engineering from cell propagation to bioreactor setup and executing assays. Completing the BioInnovate Intrapreneurship programme in 2021 introduced Lee-Ann to the Stanford BioDesign process and she feels the BioInnovate fellowship will aid her to learn new skills and further develop her customer-focused methodology. Lee-Ann is looking forward to working with like-minded individuals to come up with novel solutions to unmet clinical needs. In her spare time, Lee-Ann enjoys swimming, running, scuba diving, and travel. She loves to read and is passionate about learning.
