Camille graduated from UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School in 2018 having completed a Masters in Biotechnology and Business, with a focus in medical devices and business feasibility studies. Her thesis focused on the market and technical feasibility of Phision Therapeutics, a UCD spin-out with a novel drug and delivery mechanism for treatment in Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Camille completed her undergraduate degree from University College Dublin in Chemistry. After a brief 6 months working as a research chemist with Wanhua in Beijing, Camille made the move from academia to industry. She worked as a QC Team Lead with AbbVie, in varied roles in quality control, including in process testing and drug product verification. Camille contributed to the validation and design of testing for new products and devices. While working with NovaUCD, Camille was funded in her enterprise to focused on concept development, prototype design and product implementation of a new medical device, within the connected health field. Camille worked in collaboration with numerous start-ups as well as industry leaders, and continues to develop her device concept in order to secure IP. During her time with Phision Therapeutics, Camille harnessed her business skills to design and develop a business plan for the novice company, exploring full funding and exit strategies. Camille is eager to observe the unmet clinical issues of our healthcare system and to develop these needs into viable concepts with her team. She hopes to create solutions that empower patients and healthcare professionals alike. To unwind, Camille enjoys swimming, yoga and a trip to the beach with the dogs.
